NORDAM Taps Whitten To Lead Global Sales

TULSA, OKLA. – NORDAM CEO Meredith Siegfried announced Dave Whitten has been appointed senior vice president, sales, marketing and strategy for the international aerospace firm.

"NORDAM has domestic and international divisions supplying aircraft manufacturers, airlines, and military customers around the globe," Siegfried said. "We needed a single sales leader to leverage the information and lessons learned from one part of the business across all of our divisions. I am pleased to assign this role to Dave Whitten, who adds it to his existing responsibilities for strategy and marketing."

Whitten’s expanded duties support the ongoing development of innovative strategies to deliver added value to NORDAM customers across the globe.

Previously, Whitten served as senior vice president, strategy and marketing. He joined the company in 2005 as director of marketing and since has excelled in a series of increasingly responsible roles.

He has three decades of domestic and international aviation-industry experience, spanning engineering, program management, sales and marketing for airlines and original equipment manufacturers.

Whitten has a master of business administration from Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pa., and a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Ga.

Headquartered in Tulsa, and employing 2,500 people across nine facilities on three continents, NORDAM is one of the world’s largest independently owned aerospace companies.

The firm designs, certifies and manufactures integrated propulsion systems, nacelles and thrust reversers for business jets; builds composite aircraft structures, interior shells, custom cabinetry and radomes; and manufactures aircraft transparencies, such as cabin windows, wing-tip lenses and simulator screens.

NORDAM also is a major third-party provider of maintenance,repair and overhaul services to the military, commercial airline and air freight markets.
