SINGAPORE, FEB. 20 – The NORDAM Group has named David Tan Wai Sing managing director, sales and marketing, of its subsidiary, NORDAM Singapore PTE. Ltd. Tan is responsible for all sales and marketing activities for the region, and manages the NORDAM Singapore Customer Service Team. He reports directly to Brett Benton, NORDAM vice president, Asia Pacific.
"David Tan will work closely with our management teams to drive sales and marketing strategies, enhance customer relationships, and implement commercial initiatives to achieve the regional and global objectives of NORDAM," said Benton. "He brings skills and relationships that will immediately contribute to our growth. In addition, David is fluent in English, Mandarin and Japanese, which makes him ideally suited for his new role."
Tan has 15 years senior management experience in sales and marketing across the aviation, IT and telecommunications industries. He joins NORDAM after six years with Thales in the commercial aviation market and with Honeywell in the aerospace aftermarket business. Tan also worked for ST Aerospace and was an officer-in-charge of three operational divisions of the Royal Singapore Air Force.
Tan holds a master's degree in International Executive Business Administration from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business; a master's of Science degree from University of London, Imperial College; and a 1st Class Honor Bachelor of Engineering, Aeronautical, from the University of Salford, UK.
The NORDAM Group opened its repair facility in Singapore in 1995 to serve the expanding Asian market. NORDAM Singapore offers repair and overhaul solutions for thrust reverser components, nacelle components, and flight-control surfaces and employs over 100 stakeholders.
